Bruni and Greenland win World Championships!

Posted by Tyler Anspach on

SDG's Loic Bruni (FRA) took home his first professional victory on the biggest stage possible, winning the 2015 UCI DH MTB World Championships in Andorra this past weekend.  Laurie Greenland continued his domination of the junior ranks by winning the rainbows in his respective category. The track in Andorra is known among racers to be one of the steepest, roughest and most challenging ones on the entire professional circuit. With 2 days of torrential rain and hail it went from difficult, to near impossible when the clay filled dirt turned almost instantly to grease early on in the week. As the...

Laurie Greenland (GBR) has won yet another junior DH world cup this past weekend in Windham, NY.  The story of the day however for SDG athletes was Loris Vergier (FRA) with his best World Cup performance ever, bagging himself a 3rd place finish after a very long stay in the hot seat. Greenland wins and Bruni second in Mont Ste Anne.

Posted by Tyler Anspach on

It was another great weekend of World Cup racing for SDG as Laurie Greenland took the win in the junior event and Loic Bruni (FRA) took home second for the Elite men. Troy Brosnan joined Loic on the Podium in 3rd.   The track here at MSA is a beast, and the 25th running of the race here didn’t pull any punches. As usual, the race course features full speed open sections littered with loose sniper rocks hidden in the weeds, as well as incredible slick technical rock gardens that make riders arms scream for mercy. With the typical crazy Quebec...

Greenland and Bruni podium in Switzerland.

Trek’s Laurie Greenland (GBR) rode his SDG saddle to the win in the junior category at this weekend’s stop on the World Cup circuit in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.  Loic Bruni rode to a second place finish just .96 back after a spectacular save. Emmeline Ragot (FRA) was 5th in the women’s category.A fresh track here in Switzerland meant that the playing field was levelled. A very wide,  creative tape job turned a track that most riders were not so sure about earlier in the week, into a course worthy of a World Cup race. Incredibly steep and loose, giant braking bumps...

Wet and Wild in Fort William.

Posted by Angela Sharber on

The Fort William round of the Mtb World Cup is renowned for it's wild weather, but this year's competition sets the bar high for crazy conditions. Emmeline Ragot of France (MS Mondraker) led the charge for SDG with a big crash yet still managing a podium finish in third place. Laurie Greenland (GBR) took second place in the junior category. For the men, it was Troy Brosnan (AUS) in 7th, Loic Bruni (FRA) in 8th and Danny Hart (GBR)in 9th. With high winds and torrential rains, Friday practice was a cold, blustery affair. Saturday however, was so bad that all...
